Twelve Mile Beach Campground is located 15 miles (24 km) west of Grand Marais in Michigan’s Alger County along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This rustic backcountry campground offers 37 campsites on a sandy bluff above Twelvemile Beach on Lake Superior. Many sites offer an incredible lake view and three sets of stairs leads down to the beach from the campground. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire grate and tent pad.
