Trowbridge Island Lighthouse is located at the north side of the entrance to Thunder Bay in Ontario’s Superior Country. The Island is part of the Sleeping Giant Provincial Park. The lighthouse was first established in 1924, today it is still active and works in conjunction with the Angus Island Lighthouse on the south side of the entrance. The grounds are open to the public and you can get there by private or charter boat. The light tower is 39 feet (11.8m) tall concrete with a red lantern room. Access to the interior of the light keepers building and lighthouse are limited though efforts are being made to restore the facilities.
