Pierre the Voyageur is located outside the Earthwood Inn in Two Harbors in Minnesota’s Lake County. Pierre is a pantless 20 foot (6m) tall French Canadian fur trapper constructed in 1960. He is composed of wide range of mediums including concrete, chicken wire, railroad ties and telephone poles. This bare thighed voyageur stands heroically with one hand on his hip and one holding his giant red paddle. This is a fun photo op when visiting this beautiful harbor town.
