Thompson Beach is located 15.4 miles (24.8kms) north of Two Harbor in Minnesota’s Lake County. This is a pebbly beach on the shore of Lake Superior. This is one of the more secluded beaches on the Lake Superior Circle Tour only accessible by kayak or can be reached by hiking off of the Gitchi Gami State Trail. You can paddle to this beach from Gooseberry Falls State Park approximately 2.4 miles (3.8kms) south of the beach. There are a few primitive campsites at this beach. Kayak or hike in and enjoy an incredible and tranquil moment on the shore of Lake Superior.
