Agate Bay Beach is located in Two Harbors in Minnesota’s Lake County. This is a pebbly/sandy/rocky beach on the shore of Lake Superior’s Agate Bay inside the breakwater. There is ample paved parking with access to a boat launch and the Breakwater Lighthouse and the Two Harbors Lighthouse. This beach is a great place to sit and watch ore ships coming and going. As the name suggests you should expect to find agate here and while that is true it’s a popular spot that may be picked over. Best times for rock hunting here may be after a storm or during off seasons.
