Peat Mountain Trail is located within Lake Superior Provincial Park in Ontario’s Algoma Country. This is a 6.8 mile (11 km) loop trail that climbs to the summit of Peat Mountain. The mountain is a 500 foot (150 m) climb through diverse forest and overlooks ridges and valleys that have been formed by glacial activity, Lake Superior, and on a clear day you can even see all the way out to Michipicoten Island. The trailhead is accessed at Rabbit Blanket Campground near site #30. Leashed dogs allowed.
