Michipicoten Post Provincial Park located near Wawa in Ontario’s Algoma Country was originally established as of 1982, covers approximately 700 acres, and is known as a beautiful stop along the Lake Superior Circle Tour. This provincial park is on the northern shores of Lake Superior along Highway 11/17. The park features great paddling experiences and beautiful wildlife. This park is more of an all-natural area where you can visit, picnic, use the restroom, paddle, and watch wildlife but there is non camping or major facilities available. If you would like to camp with your vehicle or small tent in for a backcountry rustic experience you are more than welcome but the park does not provide formal camping sites.
