Rainbow Falls Provincial Park features two separate campgrounds conveniently located just off Highway 17 in Ontario’s Superior Country. The Whitesand Lake Campground is located 7 miles (11km) west of Schreiber. Three short hiking trails offer wide vistas of the park and surrounding area. Be sure to take the Rainbow Falls Trail, which leads to the lovely cascading falls. Feel the mist and spot and rainbow. The beaches and warm waters of Whitesand Lake situated in the park will delight all visitors. The Casque Isle Trail also runs through the park as it travels between Terrace Bay, Schreiber and Rossport. Trail maps are available at the park office. The park offers almost 100 campsites, half of which have electrical service with lakeside and wooded sites. A comfort station is located centrally within the campground for easy access.
If you prefer camping close to Lake Superior, the Rainbow Falls – Rossport Campground is for you. This campground is just 3 miles (5 km) west of Whitesand Lake Campground.
