Pointe aux Pins Range Rear Lighthouse is located Sault Ste Marie on Pointe Louise in Ontario’s Algoma Country. The white and red square pyramidal light tower stands 28 feet (8.5m) tall. It was built in 1903 to help guide vessels around a bend in the St Mary’s River traveling to and from the Soo Locks that is 5 miles (8kms) upstream. The lighthouse is surrounded by private property on the point so the grounds and tower can not be visited. It is best viewed by boat.
