Four Mile Beach Park is located in Sault Ste Marie in Michigan’s Chippewa County. This is a sandy beach on the shore of the St. Mary’s River accessed at the end of Four Mile Road. The park is open to the public with a paved parking lot. This beach is most often visited for swimming and watching the freighters go by on the lower St. Mary’s River. Swimmers should use caution when freighters are passing due to the heavy undertow. The Park is owned and operated by Soo Township and open Memorial Day to the end of September from 9:30 am till dusk. There is no lifeguard on duty and pets and alcoholic beverages are not allowed on the beach.
