Devil’s Island Lighthouse is located on one of the Apostle Islands, Devil’s Island, in Wisconsin’s Ashland County. The lighthouse was first lit in 1901 on this 82 foot (24.9m) tall light tower. There are 2 light keeper’s dwellings that were constructed in a red brick Queen Anne style. Visiting Devil’s Island is popular among experienced boaters because there are multiple docking sites. Boat tours departing from Bayfield to the island are offered where you can explore the grounds. During the summer season, there are volunteer rangers on most of the islands to receive visitors for tours. There is an annual Apostle Island Lighthouse Celebration that presents opportunities to view the lighthouses on a cruise boat.
