Tettegouche State Park located near Silver Bay in Minnesota’s Lake County was originally established as of 1979, covers over 3000 acres, and is known for being a former home to a station of the coast guard. This State Park is on the western shores of Lake Superior along Highway 61. The park features amazing forests and streams. Some of the main things to do include being active within the park and exploring through hiking, watching wildlife, cross country skiing, and rock climbing.

The park is open all season and offers camping all year round as well, but services and facilities are limited during the winter months. Some of the facilities available are large picnic areas, drinking water, and many great camping options. You can camp at walk-in rustic sites, with an RV, with a tent, with a large group, and on an electric site. They have something to offer ANY camper. They also have cabins available for renting with wheelchair access. Tettegouche State Park is open all year, seven days a week, mostly 8 am to 10 pm
