Illgen Falls is located in Tettegouche State Park in Minnesota’s Lake County. This is a 40 foot waterfall located half a mile upstream of High Falls on the Baptism River. The falls isn’t accessible from the park’s trail systems. To reach the falls, travel north past Tettegouche and turn left up Highway 1 for 1.6 miles (2.5 km). There is a gravel pull off on the left. A 0.2 mile path will lead you past a cabin, through the woods, to the top of the falls. Another path will take you to the base of the falls for a different vantage point. The cabin can be rented from Tettegouche State Park.
