Terrace Bay Lighthouse is located in Terrace Bay in Ontario’s Superior Country. This structure is a 50 foot (15.2 m) tall replica of the lighthouse on the Slate Islands Provincial Park. Visitors are able to go inside and climb the stairs to the top where there is an observation deck equipped with a coin operated telescope. This gives you great perspective all the way to the Slate Island on Lake Superior and the surrounding area. It is open between the months of May to October. The Terrace Bay Lighthouse is conveniently situated right along Highway 17 in front of Simcoe Plaza where there is shopping and dining options. This is a great place to stop for a break along the Lake Superior Circle Tour.
