Shining Cloud Falls is located within the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park in Michigan’s Ontonagon County. This back-county waterfall drops about 20 feet (6 m) and is split in two distinct sections. On the left it flows down a slide and on the right a rare plunge between 30 foot (9.1 m) gorge walls. Shining Cloud Falls can be accessed from the Big Carp River Trail 8.5 miles (13.6 km) from the Lake of the Clouds overlook.
