Big Carp River Trail is located near Ontonagon in Michigan’s Gogebic County. This is a 9.6 mile (15.4 km) out and back trail within Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The trail begins at the Lake of the Clouds Scenic Overlook and ends at the mouth of the Big Carp River. There are eight backcountry campsites along the Big Carp Trail. Leashed dogs allowed.
Travel directions: follow M-107 to its west end to the Lake of the Clouds Overlook.
