The North Shore Scenic Railroad is located in Duluth in Minnesota’s St. Louis County. It operates along the 28 mile (45 km) historic Lakefront Line track that runs between Duluth and Two Harbors. The Lake Superior Railroad Museum works in conjunction with the North Shore Scenic Railroad to offer a rich historic experience in railroading for passengers and visitors to the museum. There are daily standard excursions in the summer and fall months on the Duluth Zephyr. This is an hour long trip that takes passengers through downtown, along the Lake Superior Shoreline, through the historic Congdon neighborhood and back to the Depot. There’s the Music and Pizza Train done in the evenings that includes, pizza live music and a narration of the sights through Duluth. The Two Harbors excursion is a six hour day trip on a diesel or steam powered train that takes passengers on a scenic ride from Duluth to Two Harbors. Special event excursions are also held throughout the year such as the Christmas City Express, the Great Pumpkin Train, Terror Train Costume Party, and so much more!
