The NorShor Theatre is located in Duluth in Minnesota’s St Louis County. This is the hosting venue for the Duluth Playhouse mainstage series. The site originally began as Duluth’s Grand Opera House from 1883 to 1889 when the opera house was unfortunately destroyed by fire. The theatre located there today was built on this site in 1910 and at the time presented vaudeville acts and silent movies. In the 1940s it was redesigned in an Art Deco style. The NorShor Theatre presents six productions, an interactive Broadway Playlist series, and a classic film series. The seating capacity is 580 that includes the main floor and balcony with wheelchair accessibility to both. Some performances are ASL interpreted, check the website for up coming shows.
