Wyandotte Falls is located 1.5 miles (2.4 km) southwest of the Twin Lake State Park in Michigan’s Houghton County. This waterfall is on the 12 foot (3.6 m) wide Misery River. Misery River drains the Twin Lakes into Lake Superior. The trailhead to get to the falls is found just past Omer’s Golf Course and Resort on the left side of the road. Walk about 500 feet (152 m) through beautiful hemlock, maple, pine and cedar tree forest until you reach a waterfall beneath a large stack of conglomerate rock. If you continue down the trail you will see another larger drop. This waterfall is best seen in the spring of after a heavy rain.

Travel directions: From Twin Lakes State Park go south on M-26 and turn right down Poyhonen Road. Continue a few hundred feet past the golf course’s storage shed. Trailhead is on the left.
