Agate Beach Park is located in Toivola, 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Houghton in Michigan’s Keweenaw County. This is a sandy beach on the shore of Lake Superior. True to its name, the rock collector in search of Lake Superior agate will have a great time combing the beach here. This park has a primitive campground with vault toilets, 20 amp electricity and picnic tables. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
