Van Riper State Park located near Michigamme in Michigan’s Marquette county was originally established as of 1956 and is known for being on Lake Michigamme and 1.5 miles of frontage along the Peshekee River. Van Riper State Park is on the southern shores of Lake Superior along highway U.S. highway 41.
