Pinnacle Falls is located in the township of Champion, 8 miles (12.8 km) southwest of Big Bay, in Michigan’s Marquette County. A short 15 minute walk from the parking area will lead you downhill to the river and upstream to the falls. This waterfall is approximately 25 feet (7.6 m) high on the Yellow Dog River. It gets its name due to the large rock pinnacle on the right of the falls.

Travel directions: From CR-550, go south down CR-510 for about 3 miles to the AAA road. Turn left and continue for 5.5 miles (8.8 km) to the Pinnacle trail on the left. Turn south and continue for 1 mile(1.6 km) , then curve east then south for ½ a mile until you reach a small parking area. Four wheel drive is recommended. If you’re on the quest for chasing waterfalls, also check out the nearby Yellow Dog River Falls.
