Tyoga Historic Pathway is located 3 miles (4.8 km) north of Deerton in Michigan’s Alger County. This is a 1.6 mile (2.6 km) loop trail within the Escanaba River State Forest. The trail loops around the remains of an old logging town where workers from the Tyoga Lumber Company lived between 1905 – 1907. This trail is often wet and sometimes floods. Consider waterproof footwear when exploring this trail. Leashed dogs are allowed.
