Temperance River State Park located in Schroeder in Minnesota’s Cook County was originally established as of 1956, covers 217 acres, and is known for being a former home to a station of the coast guard. This State Park is on the western shores of Lake Superior along highway 61. The park features an old historic rocky landscape. Some of the main things to do include being active within the park and exploring through hiking, the beach, fishing, rock climbing, picnicking, birding, and enjoying scenic lookouts.
The park is open all season and offers camping all year round as well, but services and facilities are limited during the winter months. Some of the facilities available are large picnic areas, drinking water, ranger station, modern restrooms, showers, and many great camping options. You can camp at walk-in rustic sites, with an RV, with a tent, with a large group, and on an electric site. They have something to offer ANY camper.
