Hidden Falls is located in Temperance River State Park near Schroeder in Minnesota’s Cook County. Hidden Falls is easy to get to and is about ¼ mile from the road. A wayside stop along Highway 61 at Temperance River State Park grants you access to the trail. This waterfall is a unique one because as the name suggests it is mostly hidden. Over hundreds of years, the Temperance River has worn through the rock with swirling motions so much of the falls is tuck away into the gorge. If you hike slightly above the falls you will come across an interesting series of potholes and beyond that a bridge where you can cross the river.
