Pretty Lake State Forest Campground located in Michigan’s Luce County, near the community of Newberry Michigan. This campground is a rustic one with 18 remote sites available for tenting or smaller campers. The campground is accessible by foot or through portaging from other lakes and is managed by Muskallonge Lake State Park. You cannot make reservations ahead of time and it operates solely on a first come first serve basis. The area is known for being a great spot to paddle, fish, and hunt. There is a popular hiking trail available near the campground called the “North Country Trail”.
This is a walk-in campground or boat in from other surrounding lakes and that means there is a fully accessible boat launch available. There is also well water through a hand pump, picnic areas, and vault toilets. This campground is open all year round and is roughly $15 USD per night.
