The Miners Memorial Mural is located in downtown Ironwood in Michigan’s Gogebic County. The mural celebrates Ironwood’s mining heritage and depicts 111 actual miners. It was painted by artists Kelly Meredith and Sue Martinsen in 2012 on a building on the corner of Suffolk and McLeod Street and has been a popular attraction in the city ever since. Each miner portrayed in this impressive 60 foot mural is named with the local mine they worked at.
