Laughing Whitefish Falls Trail is located in Sundell, 30 miles (48.2 km) from Munising in Michigan’s Alger County. This is a 1 mile (1.6 km) out and back trail that leads to the top of Laughing Whitefish Falls Scenic Site. A long staircase leads to the bottom of the falls and observation deck. The waterfall is an impressive 100 foot (30.5 m) high slide and is one of the tallest and accessible waterfalls in Michigan. Leashed dogs are allowed.
Travel directions: Off of M-94, approximately 30 miles from Munising or Marquette, turn north onto N. Sundell Rd for 2.8 miles (4.5 km). Turn right at the sign for the falls to the parking area.
