The Ironwood Historic Depot Museum is located in Ironwood in Michigan’s Gogebic County. This red brick train depot was constructed for the Chicago & Northwestern railroad in 1893 to accommodate the booming iron mining industry. The rail service ended in 1970 and today the depot is utilized as a museum that showcases the history of the mining industry and early life in a mining town. In 1986 the C&NW Railway Depot was added to the National Register of Historic Places.
