Chippewa Falls is located 34.4 miles (55.3 km) north of Sault Ste Marie in Ontario’s Algoma Country. This is a roadside waterfall right on the Trans Canada Highway. It is best seen after the winter melt when the fast rushing water flows over the 82 foot (25m) drop. A rest area by the falls is a great place to stretch your legs or stop for a picnic while doing the Lake Superior Circle Tour. This is also a Group of Seven interpretive installation location that has inspired a painting by artist A.Y. Jackson.
