The Vietnam Memorial Tank and Helicopter are located in Hurley in Wisconsin’s Iron County. A M-60 tank and AH-1S Cobra Helicopter sit in a grassy area next to the Iron Country Courthouse at the intersection of Taconite Street and US-51.. The helicopter is perched on a pole in a descending position. The veterans memorial has plaques on a painted stone wall in front of the tank and helicopter.
One plaque reads, “In Honor of the men and women who served their country during the Vietnam War. Dedicated by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 529 Hurley, Wisconsin. Never again will one generation of veterans abandon another.”
