The Thunder Bay Observatory is located in Neebing 17.3 miles (28km) south of Thunder Bay in Ontario’s Superior Country. It is far enough from the light pollution of the city to provide the darkest skies and an unforgettable experience. Using the professional telescope and telescopic camera you will be able to view and photograph objects in the sky 1,000,000 times stronger than the naked eye can see. There are different tour packages available that can include things such as hands on tours of the universe through the observatory’s telescope, workshops, lectures, and training in the cosmic theater with 30 foot screens. The ideal times for night sky viewing is during the winter from January to April so book a tour of this observatory for an unforgettable experience.
