Thunder Bay Lookout is located near Pass Lake in Sleeping Giant Provincial Park in Ontario’s Superior Country. A 5.7 mile (9.2 km) gravel road will lead you from Hwy 587 to this incredible scenic lookout. Vehicles using this road should ensure they have adequate clearance. From this lookout, you can see the city of Thunder Bay from the perspective of the Sleeping Giant. There is a boardwalk platform that juts out over the side of the cliff. It allows you the ability to have an unobstructed view of Thunder Bay and Lake Superior. On a clear day, you can see all the way to Michigan’s Isle Royale National Park across the lake. The lookout marks the beginning of the longest hiking trail in the park, the Kabeyun Trail.
