Obtatanga Provincial Park located near White River in Ontario’s Algoma Country was originally established as of 1967, covers over 2000 acres, and is known for being a stop along canoe trips on for those paddling from Dog River to Lake Superior. This provincial park is on the northern shores of Lake Superior along Highway 11/17. The park features great paddling experiences and beautiful wildlife. This park is more of an all-natural area where you can visit, picnic, paddle, and watch wildlife but there is non camping or major facilities available. If you would like to camp with your vehicle or small tent in for a backcountry rustic experience you are more than welcome but the park does not provide formal camping sites.
