The Laurium Manor Mansion is located in Laurium in Michigan’s Houghton County. This lavish 45 room mansion was built in 1908 for Thomas and Cornelia Hoatson, the owner of Calumet & Arizona Mining Co. The manor was restored in 1989 to a historic mansion hotel and has been welcoming guests ever since. Tours are available everyday between 11:00am and 5:00pm. The mansion includes extravagant details throughout the 13,00 sq. ft. and four floors. A music parlor with a silver leaf covered domed ceiling, Stained glass windows, gilded tile fireplaces, hand painted landscape mural, ballroom, 10 guest rooms and two story carriage house are just the beginning of the opulence you will experience here.
