Bessemer is located in Michigan’s Gogebic County. Bessemer sits along highway M-2 and has a population of 1,914 and was founded in 1884. This area is most well known for being referred to as “Big Snow Country” as some of the most popular things to do are downhill ski, cross country ski, snowmobile and snowshoe. Visit the Gogebic County Court House, a unique iconic structure built of Bayfield sand stone in the late 1800’s.
