Mackinaw City is located in Michigan’s in Emmet and Cheboygan counties. Mackinaw City sits at the very tip of Michigan’s lower peninsula and there you can find the Mackinaw Bridge that connect the lower and upper peninsulas. Mackinaw City has a population of 806 and was founded in 1857. This area is most well known for being the hub for connecting the two peninsula’s and the Old Mackinac Point Lighthouse. This city is a very popular tourist destination packed with attractions and things to do such as the Headlands International Dark Sky Park, Point Lighthouse, McGulpin Lighthouse & Historic Site and so much more. They also have the Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry for all your needs to travel to the islands and around the Mackinaw City area.
