Lookout Mountain is located near Lutsen in Minnesota’s Cook County within Cascade River State Park. This scenic lookout can be reached by a 4.3 mile (7 km) point and back trail. This trail takes you along the Cascade River, past upper, lower, middle and upper falls, and includes a steep climb up to the summit of the mountain. Once you reach the top you are welcomed with a couple of benches to rest on to soak in this unforgettable view of the treetops below out to Lake Superior in the distance. Wayside parking is available on either side of Hwy 61 near the trailhead to get to Lookout Mountain.
