Kakabeka Falls is located in Kakabeka Falls Provincial Park 18.6 miles (30 km) west of Thunder Bay in Ontario’s Superior Country. This waterfall is often referred to as the “Niagara of the North” as it is the second largest waterfall in Ontario to Niagara Falls. With an astonishing 130 foot (39.6 m) drop in the Kaministiquia River, this is a must see on the Lake Superior Circle Tour. It is easily accessible just feet away from the parking lot. A wheelchair accessible boardwalk trail leads you from the parking lot, over a pedestrian bridge, to incredible observation decks and wraps around the falls.
