The Cliffs Shaft Mine Museum is located in Ishpeming in Michigan’s Marquette County. The museum is a former iron mine and offers visitors a glimpse into the history of the mining era through artifacts, displays, exhibits and mining equipment. You can also visit the Ishpeming Rock and Mineral room where you can view over 500 minerals. There is even guided tours that will take you through mine tunnels to walk in the foot steps of the miners. The Cliffs Shaft Mine was added to the National Register if Historic Places in 1992.
