Christmas is a small community in Michigan’s Alger County, just 4.5 miles (7.2 km) west of Munising. The town got it’s name from a factory that was built in 1938 that manufactured Christmas gift items. Attractions, business and street names throughout this charming town carries out the Yuletide theme all year round. Even the Kewadin Casino has a giant Santa statue outside to welcome guests. Outside Santa’s Workshop Gift Shop you’ll also find a 35 foot tall Santa cut-out. There are great camping opportunities at places like Uncle Ducky’s Paddler’s Village Campground and Bay Furnace Campground.
