Chassell is located in Michigan’s Houghton County. Chassell sits along U.S. route 41 and is near Portage Lake. Chassell has a population of 1,783 and was founded in 1888. This area is most well-known for Copper Country Strawberry Festival. Some of the most popular things to do attend the Strawberry Festival which takes place annually, visit the Chassell Heritage Center, Chassell Centennial Park, Torch Bay or the Keweenaw Waterway.
