Brule is located in Wisconsin’s Douglas County. Brule is approximately 35 miles (56.3 km) from Ashland and only 30 miles (48.2 km) east of Lake Superior near. Brule has a population of 591 and was founded in 1886. This area is most well-known for the Brule River and its quality trout fishing.
