The Bates Art Gallery is located in Bayfield in Wisconsin’s Bayfield County. The building was built in 1900 as a bar and to this day still holds an essence of bar room charm in this eclectic art gallery. A large ornate wooden bar is still intact as well as a beautiful tin ceiling. The gallery features over 50 local artists representing a variety of mediums including, ceramics, pastels, water colors, wood, printmaking, photography and so much more.
