Quetico is a protected, pristine wilderness retreat of international acclaim on the Canada-U.S border offering 1,400 km of backcountry canoe routes. The park also offers the Dawson Trail campground, located on Hwy 11, 148 km west of Thunder Bay and 48 km east of Atikokan.
The Dawson Trail Campground has services for tents, trailers, and recreational vehicles. There are 107 sites (49 with electrical service), comfort stations, showers, laundry, a children's playground, canoe launch area, nature, hiking and cross-country ski trails. Quetico also has two yurts, which are tent like dwellings placed on wooden platforms. They are equipped for both summer and winter camping and are available for rent year round.
The park offers a summer Natural Heritage Education Program for visitors which include guided walks, children's progrmas, evening programs and special events. The park's visitor centre at Dawson Trail also features intepretive displays, a park store and the John B. Ridley Library.
